Types of Family Cars Available for Rent
Brook Drive offers 31 family-oriented vehicles for rental in Dubai, starting from AED 490 per day — no deposit, no hidden fees.
Family vehicles are the backbone of practical travel in the UAE. Large cabins, third-row seating, and high ground clearance make them the natural choice for families with children, groups of colleagues, or anyone covering the distance between emirates with a full load of luggage.
Built for maximum passenger and cargo capacity, American full-size SUVs deliver three rows of seating, V8 engines, and generous luggage space. The Chevrolet Tahoe accommodates up to 7–8 passengers and fits 3–4 large suitcases behind the third row. The Cadillac Escalade offers 722 liters of boot space with all three rows up — enough for a full family transfer from DXB. The GMC Yukon rounds out this segment as a cost-effective alternative with comparable interior space.
Ideal for: airport transfers with multiple bags, multi-day road trips, families with young children needing ISOFIX points on rows two and three.
German and British engineering defines this group. The BMW X7 seats seven and delivers a refined cabin with ISOFIX on the second row. The Mercedes GLS combines business-class rear comfort with 250 km/day included mileage. The Land Rover Range Rover adds air suspension and a notably composed cabin at motorway speeds — a strong option for longer inter-emirate drives.
Ideal for: business travelers with families, residents who need a daily driver and a road-trip vehicle in one, school-run and hotel-to-meeting circuits.
For smaller groups or those who want agility alongside practicality, this tier covers the Porsche Cayenne, BMW X5, BMW X6, Nissan Patrol, Toyota Land Cruiser, and Land Rover Defender. The Patrol and Land Cruiser remain the preferred choice among UAE residents for their proven reliability across long motorway distances. The Porsche Cayenne brings sports-car precision to the cabin without sacrificing rear-passenger space.
Ideal for: couples with one or two children, shorter-term rentals, drivers who prefer a more manageable footprint in city traffic.
Why Rent a Family Car in Dubai?
A full-size family SUV handles DXB arrivals in a single run — no splitting the group across two vehicles, no leaving bags behind. The Cadillac Escalade, for instance, fits a family of five plus four large 28-inch suitcases without touching the third row.
Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah are all within 1–2 hours of Dubai. Vehicles like the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 and Mercedes GLS cover these distances comfortably within the 250 km/day mileage included. Additional kilometers are available from AED 10/km.
The BMW X7, Chevrolet Tahoe, Mercedes GLS, and comparable models carry ISOFIX anchor points on the second-row outer seats. Confirm your child seat configuration with our concierge team before booking so we can assign the right vehicle.
All toll road charges are covered by Brook Drive — no separate line item for Salik on your invoice.
Comparing Popular Family Cars: What to Choose?
Nissan Patrol vs. Chevrolet Tahoe vs. BMW X7 — three of the most frequently requested family vehicles in our Dubai fleet.
Starts from AED 500/day and remains the go-to choice for UAE residents. It offers a naturally aspirated V8 (5.6 l, 280 HP on the Super Safari variant), 250 km daily mileage, and a proven, predictable ride across all Dubai road types. Boot space behind the third row handles 2–3 large suitcases comfortably.
Starts from AED 540/day and steps up in cargo capacity. With 722 liters behind row three, it manages airport runs for larger groups with ease. The RST variant delivers 420 HP from a 5.3-liter V8.
Starts from AED 990/day and prioritizes in-cabin refinement. The iDrive interface, panoramic roof, and independent air suspension on the 340 HP inline-6 make it the right choice when passenger comfort takes priority over cargo volume.
«
Bottom line: For practical family travel with a focus on value, the Patrol or Tahoe deliver. For a premium daily driver with full family comfort, the BMW X7 offers the stronger cabin experience.

Note: Family SUVs are consistently in high demand from November through March. If you’re planning travel during peak season, book at least 5–7 days in advance to guarantee your preferred model.
Practical Notes: Driving Family SUVs in Dubai
- Underground parking clearance. Covered parking at Dubai malls, hotels, and residential towers typically sets clearance limits between 2.0 and 2.2 meters. Most full-size SUVs in our fleet fall within this range, but roof racks or aftermarket accessories can reduce effective clearance. Check your vehicle’s height before entering unfamiliar structures.
- Off-road and dune driving is not permitted. All rentals cover paved road use only. Driving on sand or unsurfaced terrain voids the insurance policy — this applies universally across the fleet.
- Fines and penalties. Traffic fines are not deducted from any deposit (we don’t hold one). Any fines issued during or after your rental period are forwarded to you directly for payment.
- Insurance deductible. Base insurance is included in every rental. In the event of an at-fault accident, the renter’s liability is capped at a fixed deductible amount specified per model in the rental agreement. If the other party is at fault, you pay nothing. One important note: any damage — including a parking scratch that occurred while you were away from the vehicle — requires a Police Report before a claim can be filed.
- Large luggage at DXB. Traveling with four or more large suitcases? Request the Cadillac Escalade or GMC Yukon. For five or more bags, confirm the configuration with our concierge team before arrival to avoid delays at the airport.
