The median daily rate across our 372 published positions is AED 1,245, and the top of the range is AED 11,990 a day. These are the rates on our own price list in September 2026, and they can change.
What a day costs by vehicle class
Car rental prices in Dubai depend on the class you pick as much as on how long you keep the car. Brook Drive publishes a «from» rate and a class median for every category in the fleet, and both move a long way between an economy hatchback and a full-size luxury SUV. The table below is read straight from our own price list, not an estimate of what people typically pay.

A car in this catalogue can carry more than one class label. The Ford Mustang GT above sits under sports, convertible, muscle and Special Offer at once, and the counts behind these rows overlap for the same reason: SUV positions number 178, sports 157, luxury 86, family 88, convertible 87, sedan 21 and economy 27, and they add up to more than the 372 positions published online. That is why we do not publish a share-of-fleet percentage here — the categories are not mutually exclusive, so a percentage of the total would be misleading.
At the very top of the range sits the Ferrari Purosangue, AED 11,990 a day for a 1-2 day booking. The catalogue lists it under both the sports and the SUV groupings, so you may see it in either category on the Ferrari Purosangue page. How the rate falls with rental length
Every car in the Brook Drive fleet is priced in four length brackets: 1-2 days is the headline daily rate, 3-7 days is the long-weekend or week rate, 8-29 days sits in between, and 30 or more days is the monthly rate. Which column applies depends only on how long you book the car for, not on the season.
Measured across all 372 published positions, the median saving against the 1-2 day rate is 7.7% at 3-7 days, with a best case of 16.7%. At 8-29 days the median saving is 14.5%, and no best-case figure is published for that bracket. At 30 or more days the median saving is 32.1%, with a best case of 52.1%. Brook Drive’s own marketing line says a monthly rental can save up to 50%. That is the top of the range we actually measure, at 52.1% best case, not the typical outcome — budget for roughly a third off at the 30-day rate, and treat anything closer to half off as the exception rather than the rule.
Here is how that plays out for two real cars from the fleet, at the rates published in September 2026:

Notice that the Range Rover’s week total, AED 10,430, clears the AED 10,000 threshold where delivery becomes free — a booking just a little shorter would not. The Mercedes C300’s daily rate exactly halves between the shortest and longest brackets, from AED 600 to AED 300, which is the largest fall in this pair. Add 5% VAT on top of any of these totals; it is a statutory tax on the rental, not a Brook Drive charge.

What actually moves the price
Four things move a car’s rate in this fleet: which class and how much power it has, how many of that model we hold, how long you book it for, and demand. The class table above already shows how far rates stretch between an economy hatchback and a full-size luxury SUV, and the same logic applies within a class — a sports car’s rental cost climbs quickly with engine size and performance.
How many positions we hold in a class is a real constraint, not a marketing figure: 178 SUV positions, 157 sports, 88 family, 87 convertible, 86 luxury, 27 economy and 21 sedan, all overlapping because a car can carry more than one label. Rental length is the lever with the clearest effect, covered in full in the section above — moving from a 1-2 day booking to 30 or more days is where the biggest saving sits.
Demand shifts with the seasons in Dubai: winter is the busy period for tourism and rentals, summer is quieter. We do not publish a seasonal discount percentage, because our tariff is built around rental length, not the calendar — the published price list on any given day is the same list whether it is January or August. The two ways to pay less within that structure are booking a longer bracket, and choosing from the Special Offer category, which we cover in the savings checklist further down this guide.

What you pay on top of the daily rate
The daily or monthly rate is not the whole bill. Here is everything that gets added on top, who charges it, and when.
Tax and tolls
VAT. The UAE charges 5% Value Added Tax on car rental like any other taxable supply, according to the UAE Federal Tax Authority. It applies on top of the rental total, and it is not our charge to waive or discount.
Salik. Dubai’s toll gates charge AED 6 per crossing at peak hours, 06:00 to 10:00 and 16:00 to 20:00, and AED 4 off-peak, 10:00 to 16:00 and 20:00 to 01:00, with no charge at all between 01:00 and 06:00 and a flat AED 4 all day on Sundays outside that free window, according to Gulf News. A 5% VAT has applied to Salik tariffs since June 2026, without changing that underlying structure, confirms the Khaleej Times; adding that tax to the base tariff puts a peak crossing at about AED 6.30 and an off-peak crossing at about AED 4.20. Passing the Al Safa North and South gates, or the Al Mamzar North and South gates, in one direction within an hour is charged only once. Salik is read automatically from the car’s tag and billed to you after the rental ends — it is not part of the daily rate, and we add no processing fee to it. Darb. If you drive to Abu Dhabi, its toll gates work the same way: charged to you automatically and billed after the rental ends. There is no reliable 2026 source for a Darb tariff figure, so we are not going to publish one here.
Fuel
Every car leaves full and comes back full. We do not sell fuel, and we never charge a shortfall figure or a price per litre — the full-to-full policy means you pay a filling station directly, not us. UAE pump prices are set monthly by the Fuel Price Committee; for September 2026 they are AED 3.80 a litre for Super 98, AED 3.69 for Special 95, AED 3.61 for E-Plus 91 and AED 4.30 for diesel, according to Gulf News; WAM, the national news agency, reported the same monthly decision. Fines, delivery, mileage and parking
Traffic fines are your responsibility and are forwarded to you after the rental ends. We hold no deposit against them and add no administrative fee for processing them; see our guide on how to pay a traffic fine in Dubai.
Delivery and collection are free once the rental value reaches AED 10,000. Below that, delivery within Dubai is AED 185 between 09:00 and 21:00, or AED 235 outside those hours, plus 5% VAT; delivery to Dubai International Airport starts from AED 250.
Mileage is limited per car, from 200 to 250 km a day, shown on that car’s own page. There is no single fleet-wide number and no published rate for going over it — extra kilometres are still charged separately, but the amount is not published here.
Parking follows Dubai’s RTA paid-parking zones, priced by the authority rather than by us; our own paid parking in Dubai guide has the current zones and rates.
One more line worth knowing here: there is an insurance excess that applies if a car is damaged, covered under what is already included in the rate below. It is confirmed by the managers at booking, not published as a fixed number.

What is already included in the rate
Nothing on the list above should turn up in the middle of your bill unannounced. Here is what is already inside the daily rate, no extra charge.
Basic insurance is included in every car’s daily rate. There is an excess set out in the rental agreement, and it depends on the model; we do not publish the amount here, the managers confirm it when you book. Extended insurance is available on top, also without a published price — again, ask the managers. Any damage, including a scratch found on the car while you were away from it, needs a police report; see our guide on what to do after a scratch or damage.
Beyond insurance, the rate already covers child seats, at no extra cost, 24/7 booking and support, a handover that takes about 20 minutes, and a car that has just come through the group’s own detailing centre between rentals. If a car breaks down, you contact us, we collect it and provide a replacement.

No security deposit and how you can pay
There is no security deposit on any car in this fleet, supercars included. That covers everything from the cheapest Fiat Abarth to a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and there are no hidden charges layered in to make up for it. This matters more than it might look on paper. A company that blocks several thousand dirhams on your card, or takes a cash deposit, is not charging you that money — but you do not have it either, for the length of the rental. If you are comparing companies, it is worth asking directly whether a deposit or a card block applies, and how long a refund takes, because that changes the cash you actually need on hand before you can drive away.

Who can rent and what you need
Minimum age and minimum driving experience are set per car, not by one fleet-wide rule. Across the fleet they run from 21 to 25 years, with 3 or 5 years of driving experience, and the requirement is shown on each car’s own page. A Mini Cooper S Convertible or a Mercedes C300 asks for 21 years and 3 years of experience; a BMW X5 asks for 23 and 3; a Range Rover HSE asks for 25 and 5. The trend is that more powerful cars ask for more, but it is not exact — the Mercedes G63 AMG and the Lamborghini Huracán EVO Spyder both require 25 years of age but only 3 years of experience, so check the specific car rather than assuming a pattern.
Tourists need a passport, their home-country driving licence, and an International Driving Permit; if you are unsure whether your licence needs one, our guide on renting without an IDP covers the nuance. How to spend less on a Dubai car rental
A short, practical checklist, pulling together what already sits above:
- Book the length bracket you actually need. The saving steps up at 3-7 days, again at 8-29 days, and most sharply at 30 or more days — booking a few days longer than planned can sometimes beat booking short and extending later.
- Check the Special Offer category before you pick a class. It is a separate group of discounted positions, currently seven cars, from AED 690 a day.
- Aim for a rental value of AED 10,000 or more if delivery matters to you — that is the threshold where delivery and collection become free instead of AED 185 or AED 235 plus VAT.
- Time Salik crossings for the off-peak window, 10:00 to 16:00 or 20:00 to 01:00, or the free window between 01:00 and 06:00, rather than the peak hours.
- Return the car full. The full-to-full fuel policy means there is nothing to settle if the tank is already topped up when you hand the keys back.

Is it cheaper than taking taxis?
There is no reliable published taxi fare to compare against, so we will not invent one. As a rough rule, a taxi or ride-hailing app tends to work out cheaper for a single short trip, while a rented car becomes better value once you are covering several stops a day or heading outside the city center.
Can I take the car outside the UAE?
No. Driving outside the UAE, including into Oman, is not allowed under the rental agreement. Trips stay within the UAE.
