The median published daily rate across the Brook Drive fleet was AED 1,245 (≈ USD 339) in September 2026, computed over 372 cars. A quarter of the fleet rents for under AED 890 a day; a quarter rents for over AED 2,600. The full range runs from AED 390 to AED 11,990 a day. This is the average car rental price in Dubai measured on our own published rates on one date — not a survey of every rental company in the city, but the actual distribution of a fleet of 372 cars that was live and bookable that day.
The headline numbers, September 2026
Six figures describe the whole distribution of the 1–2 day daily rate on 372 cars: the lowest rate in the fleet, the point a quarter of the way up (p25), the median, the mean, the point three-quarters of the way up (p75), and the highest rate.
| Statistic | AED/day | ≈ USD/day |
|---|---|---|
| Lowest rate in the fleet | 390 | 106 |
| p25 (a quarter of cars are cheaper) | 890 | 242 |
| Median | 1,245 | 339 |
| Mean (average) | 1,871 | 510 |
| p75 (a quarter of cars are dearer) | 2,600 | 708 |
| Highest rate in the fleet | 11,990 | 3,265 |
The median (AED 1,245) sits well below the mean (AED 1,871). That gap is the single most useful number in this release: a handful of hypercars at the top of the range pull the average upward, but half of the 372 cars in the feed rent for AED 1,245 a day or less. A visitor budgeting a trip on the mean would overstate the typical day by roughly AED 626. The median is the number to plan against; the mean is only useful as a check on how top-heavy the fleet is.
| Band, AED/day | Cars | Share of fleet |
|---|---|---|
| Under 500 | 16 | 4.3% |
| 500–999 | 120 | 32.3% |
| 1,000–1,999 | 97 | 26.1% |
| 2,000–3,999 | 123 | 33.1% |
| 4,000 and above | 16 | 4.3% |
Read cumulatively: 16 cars in the feed rent for under AED 500 a day, 63 for under AED 700, 136 for under AED 1,000, 233 for under AED 2,000, 322 for under AED 3,000 and 363 for under AED 5,000. Put the other way round: 50 of the 372 cars in the September 2026 snapshot — about one in seven — rent above AED 3,000 a day.
The cheapest and the most expensive car in the fleet
The cheapest car in the September 2026 feed is the Fiat Abarth 595, AED 390 a day on the 1–2 day bracket and AED 250 a day on the 30+ day bracket. The most expensive is the Ferrari Purosangue at AED 11,990 a day. Immediately below it sit the Ferrari 12 Cilindri at AED 10,000, then the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, the Rolls-Royce Spectre Black Badge and the Rolls-Royce Wraith, all at AED 7,600 a day. Between AED 390 and AED 11,990 sits everything else in the catalogue.
Helpful tipBudget against the median (AED 1,245), not the cheapest headline figure and not the mean. The cheapest rate belongs to one car; the mean is dragged upward by a small number of very expensive ones. The median is what half the fleet actually costs.

Methodology: where these numbers come from
Source and snapshot
The figures in this release come from the live Brook Drive fleet feed of published rental rates, pulled in September 2026. Daily snapshots of the feed are archived, and across the snapshots taken so far in September the fleet-wide median daily rate has not moved; it has stayed at AED 1,245. That is three data points, not a trend, and this release makes no claim about direction. The index will be refreshed monthly.
One observation, one car, why the median
One feed position equals one physical car. A model offered in several colours appears once per colour, so the September 2026 snapshot contains 372 positions, 272 distinct car names and 28 brands. Rates are published for four rental-length brackets — 1–2 days, 3–7 days, 8–29 days and 30+ days — and every figure quoted here is one of those published rates, not an estimate. The median is used as the central statistic because a small number of hypercars would drag a simple average upward; the mean is quoted once, for contrast, in the headline table above. Percentiles are nearest-rank: p25 is the value a quarter of the way up the sorted list of 372 rates.
Class figures use the category assigned to each car in the catalogue. A car counts in a class if that class is its main category or one of its extra categories — a convertible that is also classed as a sports car appears in both — so the class counts in the tables below do not sum to 372. The same logic applies to the brand table, which lists every brand with four or more cars in the fleet.
What’s included in the rate
Basic insurance is included in every published rate, and no security deposit is charged on any car. Excluded from the rate, and billed separately, are fuel, Salik tolls, Darb tolls, traffic fines, delivery outside the free threshold, and VAT on delivery. The full breakdown of what sits inside and outside the daily figure is covered in our general explainer on car rental prices in Dubai; the section further down this page works through the specific figures for September 2026.
The limitation, stated plainly
This index describes one company’s own catalogue on one date. It is not a survey of the Dubai rental market, and it says nothing about what other companies charge. The 372 positions are the Brook Drive rental catalogue as published in September 2026 — not the whole Brooklands group, and not an average across the industry.
What a day costs, by class
Median daily rates vary by more than four times between the cheapest class and the most expensive. Economy cars have a median of AED 590 a day. SUV’s and convertible cars both sit at AED 1,090. Sports cars run to AED 2,190, and luxury cars to AED 2,490 — the highest class median in the fleet.
| Class | Cars | 1–2 days | 3–7 days | 8–29 days | 30+ days | ≈ USD (1–2 days) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SUV | 178 | 1,090 | 990 | 890 | 740 | 297 |
| Sports | 157 | 2,190 | 2,090 | 1,990 | 1,490 | 596 |
| Family | 88 | 990 | 890 | 790 | 640 | 270 |
| Convertible | 87 | 1,090 | 990 | 890 | 740 | 297 |
| Luxury | 86 | 2,490 | 2,340 | 2,140 | 1,590 | 678 |
| Coupe | 49 | 1,890 | 1,790 | 1,690 | 1,290 | 515 |
| Economy | 27 | 590 | 540 | 490 | 400 | 161 |
| Sedan | 21 | 1,790 | 1,690 | 1,590 | 1,190 | 487 |
| Muscle | 19 | 990 | 890 | 790 | 640 | 270 |
| Electric | 13 | 1,690 | 1,590 | 1,490 | 1,190 | 460 |
| Pickup truck | 9 | 1,190 | 1,090 | 990 | 790 | 324 |
| Special offer | 7 | 890 | 790 | 690 | 540 | 242 |
| Whole fleet | 372 | 1,245 | 1,170 | 1,090 | 790 | 339 |

Class extremes
Economy runs from AED 390 (Fiat Abarth 595) to AED 990 (BMW 530 White). SUV runs from AED 550 (Audi Q3) to AED 11,990 (the Ferrari Purosangue, which the catalogue lists in both the sports and SUV groupings). Convertible runs from AED 490 — a four-way tie between the Chevrolet Camaro Convertible, the Ford Mustang Convertible, the Mercedes C180 Convertible and the Mini Cooper S Convertible pictured above — to AED 4,990 (McLaren 720S Spider). Sports runs the full width of the fleet, AED 390 to AED 11,990. Muscle runs from AED 450 (Dodge Challenger) to AED 1,190 (Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye). Luxury runs from AED 600 (Mercedes C200) to AED 11,990 (Ferrari Purosangue).
Helpful tipIf a trip only needs an SUV or a convertible, the class median (AED 1,090) is the number to plan against, not the sports or luxury medians further up the table. The sport cars and luxury categories sit roughly twice as high because that is where the fleet’s most expensive cars are concentrated, not because every car in Dubai costs that much.

Mercedes and BMW: same fleet size, different price
Mercedes and BMW have almost the same number of cars in the fleet — 59 and 58 — but the Mercedes median (AED 2,090) is roughly double the BMW median (AED 990). The gap is not the badge; it is the model mix. The Mercedes line-up in this feed skews toward AMG models and the S-Class, the BMW line-up toward the 2-, 5- and X-series. Both brands still have entry cars near AED 500–600 a day.
The five supercar brands
Five brands in the September 2026 feed sit at the top of the price table: Ferrari (28 cars, median AED 3,090), Lamborghini (31 cars, median AED 2,600, with the Huracan pictured above), McLaren (4 cars, median AED 4,990, the highest brand median in the fleet), Rolls-Royce (12 cars, median AED 3,490) and Bentley (11 cars, median AED 2,690). Even inside these brands there is a cheaper end: a Lamborghini Urus starts at AED 2,490 and a Bentley Bentayga at AED 2,000.
Helpful tipA brand name tells you which segment a car sits in, not its exact price. Check the specific model against the brand table above before assuming every car in a brand costs the brand’s median rate.

How the rate falls with rental length: a day, a week, a month
Fleet-wide, the median daily rate falls from AED 1,245 on the 1–2 day bracket to AED 1,170 on 3–7 days, AED 1,090 on 8–29 days and AED 790 on 30+ days. That is the fleet median in each bracket, not the same car’s discount — the per-car discount is measured separately below.
| Bracket | Median discount | Range across the fleet |
|---|---|---|
| 3–7 days | 7.7% | 0% – 16.7% |
| 8–29 days | 14.5% | 3.8% – 35.5% |
| 30+ days | 32.1% | 7.7% – 52.1% |
A monthly rental can save up to 50% against the daily rate, and 52.1% is the best case measured in the September 2026 feed. It is the top of the range, not the typical outcome: the median car saves 7.7% on a week and 32.1% on a month. «Up to 50%» describes one car at one point in the fleet, not the average booking.

Why a cheap car’s discount looks different
The Chevrolet Camaro above is one of the cheaper sports cars in the fleet at AED 490 a day on the shortest bracket; cars like it illustrate why the fleet median moves less than a single car’s own discount — cheap cars have less room to fall, and the fleet median blends hundreds of different starting points.
A worked example: a week and a month for a mid-fleet car
Take a car renting at the fleet median. On the 3–7 day rate (AED 1,170 a day) a seven-day rental works out to AED 8,190. On the 30+ day rate (AED 790 a day) a thirty-day rental works out to AED 23,700. Both figures are straight multiplication of the published bracket rate; neither includes fuel, tolls or delivery, which are covered next.
Helpful tipCompare the bracket rate for the length actually being booked, not the 1–2 day headline figure. A car quoted at AED 1,245 a day on the short bracket may cost AED 790 a day booked for a month.

What you pay on top of the daily rate
The daily rate in every table above includes basic insurance and carries no security deposit. Four things sit outside it — fuel, tolls, fines and delivery — and none of them is part of the daily rate. The figures below are the rates in force in September 2026.
Included in the rate versus billed separately
No security deposit is charged on any car, supercars included. Basic insurance is included in the daily rate; the rental agreement fixes an excess for damage, and any damage, including a car-park scratch, requires a police report. Free child seats are provided on request. Each car has its own mileage limit, shown on the car’s page, typically 200–250 km a day, with extra kilometres charged separately.
Fuel works full-to-full: the car is handed over with a full tank and goes back with a full tank. Pump prices are set monthly by the UAE Fuel Price Committee. For September 2026, set by the UAE Fuel Price Committee: Special 95 at AED 3.69 a litre, Super 98 at AED 3.80, E-Plus 91 at AED 3.61 and diesel at AED 4.30 (UAE Fuel Price Committee, via WAM; also reported by Gulf News). Prices reset monthly. A longer breakdown of fuel pricing is in our note on fuel prices in Dubai.
Salik tolls in Dubai are billed after the rental ends, because no deposit is held. Pricing is variable, and since 1 June 2026 a 5% VAT applies to the toll tariff: a gate crossing costs AED 6.30 at peak (06:00–10:00 and 16:00–20:00) and AED 4.20 off-peak (10:00–16:00 and 20:00–01:00); Sundays and public holidays are charged the flat AED 4.20 rate, and crossings between 01:00 and 06:00 are free (Khaleej Times). Darb tolls, the Abu Dhabi equivalent, are billed the same way, after the rental. See also our note on toll roads in Dubai. Traffic fines are forwarded to the renter after the rental ends, for the same reason: there is no deposit held against them.
Delivery is free for rentals of AED 10,000 or more. Below that threshold it costs AED 185 for delivery between 09:00 and 21:00, or AED 235 between 21:00 and 09:00, plus 5% VAT within Dubai; delivery to Dubai International Airport starts from AED 250.
A week’s arithmetic, as an example
Take a seven-day rental of an SUV at its median 3–7 day rate, AED 990 a day: AED 990 × 7 = AED 6,930, with basic insurance included and no deposit. Assume two Salik gate crossings a day at the peak rate: 14 × AED 6.30 = AED 88.20 for the week. Assume fuel use of 50 litres of Special 95 for the week: 50 × AED 3.69 = AED 184.50. Delivery is not free on this example: the rental total of AED 6,930 is below the AED 10,000 threshold, so delivery within Dubai costs AED 185 between 09:00 and 21:00, or AED 235 between 21:00 and 09:00, plus 5% VAT. These are illustrative assumptions on published tariffs, not a quote: actual tolls and fuel depend on how far and how often the car is driven.
Helpful tipBecause no deposit is held, Salik, Darb and any fines are settled after the rental, not blocked in advance. Budget for them separately from the daily rate shown on the car’s page.

Who can rent what
Minimum age and minimum driving experience are set per car in the Brook Drive feed, not by one fixed grid, and each requirement is printed on the car’s own page.
Minimum age and experience
Across the 372 cars in the September 2026 feed, the minimum age is 25 on 228 cars (61%), 23 on 109 cars (29%) and 21 on 29 cars (8%); 6 positions do not publish a figure. Minimum driving experience is 3 years on 251 cars and 5 years on 115 cars; 6 positions do not publish a figure. The requirement generally rises with the car’s power, which is why the highest ages and experience thresholds cluster around the sports and luxury classes.
Documents
Tourists need a passport, a home-country driving licence and an International Driving Permit. UAE residents need a UAE driving licence and an Emirates ID. The full checklist, including what to bring to collection, is set out in our note on documents needed to rent a car in Dubai.
How to use the index when budgeting
Three practical readings follow from the numbers above.
Match the bracket to the trip length
The 1–2 day rate is the wrong number for a week-long or month-long trip. Use the 3–7 day, 8–29 day or 30+ day rate for the car in question — the fleet-wide gap between the shortest and longest bracket is AED 1,245 down to AED 790, and a single car’s own discount can run up to 52.1% on the 30+ day bracket.
Compare to the class median, not the cheapest headline rate
A single AED 390 or AED 490 car exists, but it does not describe the class. Economy sits at a median of AED 590, SUVs and convertibles at AED 1,090, sports at AED 2,190 and luxury at AED 2,490. Budget against the median of the class actually needed.
A median is a summary of many different cars, not a single model, so it is worth checking what one actually buys before fixing a budget. Cars discounted below their usual bracket rate are collected on the Special Offer page, and the September 2026 median there was AED 890 a day on the 1–2 day bracket across seven cars.
VerdictThe most useful single number in this index is the median, AED 1,245 a day, because it is the figure half the fleet sits on either side of. The mean, the cheapest car and the most expensive car all describe the edges of the distribution, not its centre.
