Rolls Royce Wraith
The Bentley Continental GTC Mulliner Black pairs a 4.0L V8 Twin-turbo engine producing 542 HP with one of the most refined interiors available in any convertible on the market today. At idle, the engine settles into a low, composed growl — audible enough to announce the car’s arrival at a valet stand, composed enough for the forecourt of the Burj Al Arab. Switch to Sport mode and the exhaust opens fully: layered, unmistakable V8 character that sets this car apart from anything else on the road.
Inside, Mulliner-level craftsmanship touches every surface — hand-stitched leather, diamond-quilted panels, gold-tone accent detailing applied by skilled artisans rather than production lines. The Bentley Dynamic Ride system, powered by a 48V active anti-roll setup, suppresses body lean through corners and absorbs road imperfections without dulling the steering. The result is a car that feels precise at city speeds and silk-smooth on Dubai’s highways. Two things at once, done exceptionally well.
Between October and April, Dubai evenings settle at 22–28°C — conditions purpose-built for open-top driving. The coastal roads and the approach to the Palm Jumeirah are the natural settings for this car. In summer, plan your roof-down drives after 9 PM when temperatures become manageable.
The Mulliner Black edition carries a visual presence that a standard specification cannot replicate. Arriving at Zuma, Nobu, or a penthouse address in Downtown Dubai makes an immediate statement — no explanation required.
The all-black exterior photographs exceptionally well against the reflective towers of DIFC or the warm tones of the Dubai Frame and Al Seef. Early morning light between 6 and 8 AM, or the golden hour before sunset, gives the bodywork a near-mirror quality.
The GTC carries 4 passengers comfortably with space for 4 bags of luggage — practical for a weekend trip to Abu Dhabi or Ras Al Khaimah. Note: speed enforcement in Abu Dhabi operates with no tolerance buffer, while Dubai applies a 20 km/h margin.
Two cars compete directly with the GTC Mulliner in Dubai’s luxury convertible segment: the Rolls-Royce Dawn and the Aston Martin DB12 Volante.
The Rolls-Royce Dawn is rear-wheel drive, built almost entirely around passenger comfort. It excels at effortless travel but offers less driver engagement than the Bentley’s AWD platform. The GTC responds to the driver more directly — steering that communicates genuine road feedback, which makes a real difference when navigating Dubai’s urban interchanges.
The Aston Martin DB12 Volante is also rear-wheel drive and leans toward a more traditional sporting character. Its interior, while well-appointed, does not match the bespoke handwork of the Mulliner specification. The GTC’s cabin — 4D massaging seats, the signature rotating instrument display, Mulliner-exclusive trim — represents a degree of individualization that is difficult to price elsewhere.
The Bentley Continental GTC Mulliner Black is the only car in this segment combining AWD traction, a Mulliner-level bespoke interior, and a convertible body. Neither competitor offers all three together.
