Lamborghini Huracan
The F8 Tributo Spider’s 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 announces itself before you see it — a composed idle that builds into a sharp, layered roar as the revs climb. No hesitation, no lag: throttle response is immediate whether you’re pulling out of a hotel forecourt or merging onto Sheikh Zayed Road.
Inside, Italian leather and carbon fibre cover every surface worth touching. The smaller-diameter steering wheel and the Manettino dial put suspension stiffness and throttle mapping directly in your hands — which matters more in city traffic than it sounds. Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer Plus keeps the car planted and composed at lower speeds, so Dubai’s stop-start pace never becomes a fight. Raise the revs, and the character shifts entirely. The retractable hardtop opens in seconds, converting a polished grand tourer into a fully open-top drive without sacrificing rigidity or refinement.
This is one of the few sport cars that genuinely earns both worlds — unhurried through the city, relentless when the road opens up.
Lower the roof and take the Palm trunk road at golden hour. With the hardtop retracted, you get the full coastal breeze and an unobstructed view of the Atlantis skyline. Best window: November through March, when daytime temperatures sit between 20–28°C — comfortable enough to drive open-top for an entire afternoon.
The Marina loop is one of the few urban stretches in Dubai where low speed works in your favour — the V8 sounds best between 30 and 80 km/h, and the engineering behind that note becomes immediately clear. Continue to Bluewaters Island and park up for a walk to Ain Dubai.
Rosso Corsa photographs exceptionally well against glass towers and lit facades. Downtown Dubai near Burj Khalifa, Al Khail Road, and the Emirates Towers boulevard are all well-lit, accessible, and require no off-road approach.
The boot holds one standard carry-on suitcase and a laptop bag — sufficient for a solo traveller arriving light. If you’re collecting from DXB or DWC, pack accordingly or arrange luggage delivery separately.

Tip: In summer (May–September), temperatures exceed 45°C by midday. Plan open-top drives for after 6 PM, when the air cools and the city lights up.
Important: Ground clearance is 105 mm. Steep ramp entrances at older hotel car parks and sharp speed bumps in residential streets require care. Use valet parking where available, and avoid unmarked side streets in older districts.
On paper, the Lamborghini Huracán and the McLaren 720S Spider match the F8 in headline numbers. In practice, the differences are felt the moment you’re in traffic. The F8 is more composed at low speed than the Huracán EVO Spyder, and it offers twice the boot space — relevant if you’re picking someone up from the airport. Against the McLaren, the Ferrari delivers a warmer, more analogue character and a more intuitive cabin. The Rosso Corsa finish is one of the most recognisable liveries on Dubai’s roads — and on a Ferrari, it remains exactly that.
